Some
tips for cooking with maple syrup
* For baking,
the dark amber or B grade of syrup will give you the best flavor and
color.
* You may convert
most recipes you have using sugar by using 3/4 cup syrup for 1 cup
of sugar and reducing another liquid in the recipe by 1/4 cup.
* If a recipe
calls far 2 cups of sugar and you want to use maple syrup - use 1
cup sugar, 1-1/4 cups maple syrup and use 1/2 cup less liquid than
recipe calls for.
